I am currently seeking students for a range of interesting research projects, both at a level of PhD/Masters and internships ( not funded):

  1. A set of research projects around indoor pedestrian behaviour analysis, based on indoor tracking data;
  2. A research project exploring building structure analysis methods expanding approaches from ( but not limited to) space syntax;
  3. Data mining methods for classification of large spatial networks (both with a statistical focus and/or performance/algorithmisation and implementation slant)
  4. A small internship project focusing on text query expansion for searches in the domain of urban research

And as always, if you are interested in more theoretical aspects of spatial communication modelling, please, talk to me. You will get an idea of my interests from my publications page.

If you are interested to do a PhD or Masters research with me, and satisfy the University of Melbourne criteria (see here for the Melbourne School of Engineering future students: http://www.eng.unimelb.edu.au/study/research/scholarships.html ), please get in touch with a brief description of your current research experience and interests, possibly including publications and past projects. A strong set of programming skills and experience with spatial data handling is a plus!
